odyssey: the homecoming

| Based on Homer’s ODYSSEY, the play takes place after the Trojan War has ended. It features dozens of colored shadow puppets, a life-size hero Odysseus, and a variety of scenic effects to tell the story of a man who is trying to find his way home. The play examines the hero as a returning combat veteran who is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and keeps making irrational decisions that continually keep him from coming back to his family and home. |
