The population of the earth progresses mathematically.
The generation of the food supply progresses arithmetically.

A giant two-sided head of Thomas Malthus, the scientist who predicted dire conseqeunces as the world became more populated. One side of his head featured dozens of vinyl babies and the other featured different calculation machines.
